Plaistow Pre-school

Plaistow Pre-school is a vibrant and traditional community-based Pre-school offering affordable care and education for 2-5 year olds. Open Monday to Friday, 9am - 3pm term time. The Pre-school operates from Winterton Hall and has a wonderful enclosed garden with an abundance of quality play equipment. 

Established in 1966, Plaistow Pre-school is a registered charity (No. 305405) run by highly experienced, well-trained staff and supported by a committee of parents. Fundraising events like the Christmas Nativity and the highly popular village Maypole Fete help to keep fees low and to ensure the equipment and activities are of a high quality.   

The Pre-school was graded as ‘good’ during its OFSTED inspection in November 2018. The Pre-School’s stimulating learning environment is centred around the ethos of ‘learning through play’ which assists the children to de­velop the prime areas of learning; communication and language, physical development and personal, social and emotional development.
