A message from the Interim Chief Fire Officer of West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service, Gary Ball:
Good afternoon,
West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service has today launched a public consultation on its proposals for its next Community Risk Management Plan.
This plan will set out the direction of the fire service for the next four years.
The service is keen to hear from as many people as possible on its proposals, and so I invite you all to take the time to review the public consultation and share your thoughts on our proposals.
I would also ask you to raise awareness of this public consultation with your councillors as well as residents living within your communities and encourage them to have their say too.
The consultation comes after the service ran a community questionnaire last year in which it asked residents to highlight the areas of risk within their communities that concerned them the most. Many of you will have taken the time to complete this questionnaire and we are incredibly grateful for all of the valuable insight that you shared, which has helped us prepare this set of proposals based on your feedback.
Our consultation can be completed online, or by filling out a paper copy of the consultation. If you would like a paper copy, please email yourfireservice@westsussex.gov.uk. If you would like a paper copy, please either email yourfireservice@westsussex.gov.uk or 01243 786211 and one will be sent out.
If you have any notice boards that we could display a poster on promoting our public consultation as well we would be very grateful if you could let us know, and these can also be sent out to you.
